Our Story: A Family Legacy Grown from the Ground Up
Royal Landscape Nursery isn’t just a nursery; it’s a family’s dream, nurtured with hard work, love, and a shared vision. What began as a small mulch yard decades ago has grown into Central Florida’s largest landscape nursery, proudly serving homeowners, contractors, and commercial clients across Orlando, Winter Garden, Windemere, and beyond.
From the start, Steve and Connie Emmerson built Royal Landscape Nursery together with dedication and determination. Side by side, they turned a simple idea into a thriving family business. Connie, with her warmth, energy, and incredible work ethic, quickly became the heart of the nursery. She ran daily operations, helped customers in person, and even hopped on forklifts when needed — always with her trademark smile. Steve, “the creative one,” expanded the business into landscape design, installations, and commercial projects while still staying rooted in the nursery that started it all.
Over the years, Royal Landscape Nursery became more than just a place to buy plants and materials. For many in the community, it became an outdoor oasis, a gathering place, and a trusted partner in creating beautiful, lasting landscapes.
In Loving Memory of Connie
In March 2025, our beloved Connie Emmerson — wife, mother, co-founder, and the heart of Royal Landscape Nursery — passed away after a courageous five-year battle with breast cancer. Though her loss is deeply felt, her spirit lives on in every corner of the nursery and in the community she loved so dearly.
Connie’s legacy is one of strength, grace, and generosity. She led by example, showing her daughters, Mia and Sophie, the value of hard work, resilience, and caring for others. She believed in treating every customer like family and in giving back to the community through causes close to her heart, including the Orlando Rescue Mission, No Kid Goes Hungry, and the Coalition for the Homeless.
Today, the Emmerson family and the entire Royal Landscape Nursery team carry forward Connie’s vision. Every flower, shrub, and tree we grow is a reflection of her love for people and her passion for creating beauty that lasts.
