We Help You Calculate How Much Sod Coverage You Need Before Placing Order
There is a simple formula to follow when calculating how much sod coverage you will need for your yard. Many of our customers prefer to pick up their orders and complete the installations themselves.
Irregularly shaped lawns or lawns with interrupted areas can prove to be a little tricky to measure. Our team can help you calculate how much you will need and help you choose the best grass.
Here is a rundown of how sod coverage is calculated:
- Single sod pieces are 16” by 24” or 2.75 sq. ft.
- 500 sq. ft. pallets contain 180 individual pieces
- To calculate your total, simply measure your lawn, multiply (length x width), then divide by 2.75
- Example: a 30ft x 30ft lawn is 900 sq ft. Divided by 2.75 = 328 pieces of sod
